Philippines is known for its beautiful, long and huge chains of islands. Philippines has over 7,000 islands and the whole department of Civil Engineering in Bulacan State University visited some of the most beautiful islands of the archipelago, the Hundred Islands.
Hundred Islands is located at Alaminos City, Pangasinan. It is one of the most-visited local tourism sites in the country and we’re very lucky to have a chance to visit that awesome place.
Of course, I never wanted to miss the photo opportunity of nature’s best. I brought my camera with me and while we were on the boat to the main island, I captured some images.

Every Engineering student needs these | Photo by Kelvin Servigon
I said earlier that I have a new beginning in my life. So, what does it mean? It means, a new beginning as a college student. Here in the Philippines, school days is starting again. School year 2010-2011 begins. And this school year, I am now a third year college student – yeah.
School is boring – only when you do boring things. For me, school is fun with boring stuffs. Going to school college is fun when you start having friends, meeting new people, and receiving awards. (more…)

Why a Good Flooring in a House is Important?
8 Comments | Posted by Kelvin Servigon in Thoughts
Yes, this is a question that a friend asked me. As a civil engineering student, we analyze the best materials that will fit the requirements of a specific house. As of now, we created a full house plan. Yeah, it was so damn hard to draw those huge plans of a house, but it was full of fun and enjoying too.
We drew almost 12 different plans of a single huge house in 20 media papers. It was considered as our first project in our subject, Draw 221. We are civil engineering students so we must learn this. Like my Dad, we always wanted to have a nice house – in our plan. And one of the most exciting part of the project was creating and designing the floor plan. Yes, it was a bit hard to think of the best layout for a floor plan. But my Dad said that selecting for the floor itself was way harder than designing the floor plan.
After two months, I completed another set for my Random Shots Series. Having been very busy for school works, I am lucky to have precious time with my Canon EOS 1000D. So, this time, this photo set contains different subjects taken from different places. From my hometown up to Baguio City, I tried my best to capture the Earth’s best scenes. And here they are!
