Jovit Baldivino is the next superstar

Philippines has been known for its rising international singers right now. From Charice Pempengco up to Arnel Pineda (Journey). And recently, great success of Philippine entertainment industry has been seen once again – the success of Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Finals.

Got Talent is a British talent-search TV franchise which was brought here in the Philippines by ABS-CBN. This talent-show was a huge success in the country. Why? Because it showed to the world that Filipinos too got real talent.

The Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Finals took place last June 12, 2010 and the world saw different talents from different Filipinos. And one of the most remarkable final performances was from the 16-year old wonder boy, Jovit Baldivino.

In auditions for Pilipinas Got Talent, Jovit Baldivino wowed the three judges of the show. He sang Faithfully (watch here) which was awesome. He reminds us the powerful voice of Arnel Pineda, the lead-singer of the world-famous band Journey.

And when the finals night started, this wonder boy impressed the whole Philippines once again, as he sang the famous song “Too Much Love Will Kill You” (watch here). After a day, the talent show announced that Jovit Baldivino was the grand champion.

So, right now, I am joining a contest in Yahoo! Meme and the instructions said that I need to mention one person that I think will emerge or can be the next big star. And I choose Jovit Baldivino. Why? Because he reminds me, not only Arnel Pineda of Journey, but also the Britain’s Got Talent’s Susan Boyle. Jovit Baldivino and Susan Boyle have no similarities, physically. But when it comes to talent, they got one common thing, they got real powerful voice. Both of these two Got Talent celebrities look like just the usual teenage boy and a Scottish woman, but when we saw them sing, they always surprise us with their very great voice.

Susan Boyle didn’t win the Britain’s Got Talent, but she still became a household name in the music industry. While Jovit Baldivino WON the Pilipinas Got Talent and currently making his name through the Philippine spotlight and even invading the international scenes through YouTube.

I believe that Jovit Baldivino can be the next big star because I know, he can.

Last January 16, 2010, one of my cousins, Alein Artus, had her eighteenth birthday party here in our  place. The party was full of fun, dancing all the night and had a great time with everyone.

But of course, before the party, me as the photographer and Alein as the model, we had a great pictorial here at our house using my Canon EOS 1000D and a simple light source that I bought in the mall. The pictorial was for her debut party and for her invitations.

That two photos are my favorites in the set. I love how Alein eagerly poses to my lens as she transforms her face’s expressions nicely. And I also consider the first photo (Fierce Eyes) as the best on the photo set because of Alein’s great eyes.
