This past few months, I created 3 new blogs. And every time I set up a new blog, I always have a problem finding the right Wordpress theme. Whenever I search for it in Google, I found huge number of blogs that features Wordpress themes, but almost all of those blogs feature almost just the same with others. Typography has been a popular style of digital art these days. And I just joined the bandwagon. I am now trying out my “typography skills” in Adobe Photoshop and its quite enjoyable. Unlike in photo-manipulation, typography in graphic design is very simple. You’ll make art out of simple texts. It sounds a bit hard, how you can create an art out of a very simple thing? But, we, graphic designers, need to be creative. Hey, we’re creative right?

Design Concepts Using Typography

There are many emerging design trends and concepts in the graphic design world. And these trends help us graphic designers to create more competitive and better designs. My favorite concepts are the Letter Press and Huge Typography designs. These two concepts were widely used by different graphic designers for creating logos, posters, and even in magazines.
The Letter Press design concept, one of the most widely used design concepts all over the web. It has been very popular because of its professional look, especially when used in business cards, posters and book covers. I also use this concept in my new designs especially in business cards.

Wallpaper Monday: Philippine Revolution

Philippine Revolution, EDSA Revolution, People Power Revolution – three names but only one glorious event in the Philippine History. It was the day that The Marcos dictatorship ended by a nonviolent and prayerful mass revolution of Filipinos. It was indeed a great event for the Philippines which also inspired different countries around the world to fight against the unreasonable governance.
And as a tribute to our People Power Revolution, I created wallpapers. You can download it and set as your desktop wallpaper.

These past months, our family and some of my friends celebrated their birthdays. While some bloggers created new blogs. And some people really like doing hard stuffs. Just like me, I’ve been into many tasks these past few weeks. I got a lot of graphic design jobs, like birthday invitations, tarpaulins, logos and others. But fortunately, some of these tasks gave me some funds (after finishing it) to look over and over again at my Paypal account. And I also received a plain but very sweet “Thank you” as I accepted their requests – which is really nice, too.
