Education is one of the most important things that every man should have. It is an essential thing that we need to survive in this huge planet. And better educations means better people. And that’s why Lopez Family invested a lot, not in commercial business, but in building a better educational institution for the people.
Lopez made its first donation to Asian Institute of Management in 1968 through Eugenio Lopez Foundation Inc, led by Mr. Eugenio Lopez. He believes that it is important to have a good quality of educational institutions in our country to help our fellow countrymen. “Through its support to AIM, the Foundation extends its vision to the future by making possible educational opportunities from which it is hoped will come tomorrow’s professional managers dedicated to building a more productive society,” Eugenio Lopez said. This donation helped the AIM to construct their main building and dormitory and was the single biggest donation made by a private business to an educational institution that time.
And recently, another huge donation for the Asian Institute of Management given by Lopez Family again. Lopez donates 25 million to Asian Institute of Management to renovate its Makati Campus. The donation was accepted by the Asian Institute Chairman Jose Cuisia. And the renovation of the Makati Campus will start later this year.
This recent donation made by the Lopez Family is indeed a great way to make education in the Philippines world-class.
