My Year 2009

Year 2009 for me was awesome. I mean, only for me, because of so many things happened to me that year. But for our beloved country, Philippines, 2009 was not that good.

Anyway, I want this post to be only for me. I want to share to you what happened to me last year 2009. From January 2009 to December 2009, I’ll write it here.

January 2009. January is the first month of every year. And this first month is very special to our family, because my Dad and my younger sister, Keith Anne, celebrate their birthdays on this month. My Dad’s birthday party was full of fun, and that was my first time to drink two bottles of red and white wine! Yeah, I was the only one who drank to separate bottles of wines, because they have their own drinks too! We all had party all night.

February 2009. This is my month. I celebrate my birthday every February. That’s very special to me. But what made February 2009 very special to me was my experience last Mr. and Ms. PICE (Philippines Institute of Civil Engineers) 2009 pageant. That pageant gave me complete pressure (and stress) because me and my partner were only first year students that time and the other candidates were higher year students! But the hard work and full effort was worth it, because me and my partner won the pageant. Yeah, I think, for the last years, that was the only time that first year students got the title.

March 2009. This month was a huge step to a better person for me. March was the month where I received a very special gift from my Mom and Dad. My Dad said, because I won at the Mr. and Ms. PICE pageant, he’ll give me a reward. And, that reward was my new baby, Canon EOS 1000D. And I really cherish that month because that month was the start of my new path in my life, being a photographer. Thank you Mom and Dad!

May 2009. The good luck on me continues. As this month, a great photographer, Mr. Marvin Maning and the Fabe Clothing offered me a proposal. They want me to pose for their lenses. And I grabbed that chance! That was my first time to had a photo shoot for a clothing line. And that’s a great experience for me to remember when I grow up. You can see my sets here and here.

June 2009. First month of school year here in the Philippines is the month of June. And this month is another huge step forward for me because this was the month I became a second year student.

August 2009. This is another great month for me, especially for my blog. This was the month where I received my first ever award in blogging, Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs of 2009 by Ms. Janette Toral. That award gave me more confidence to pursue blogging, experience, and more friends in the whole blogosphere!  This month was indeed the month for my blog.

September 2009. Another good month for my blog. This was the month where I celebrated my blog’s first year anniversary. One year of blogging about graphic designs, photography, personal things and other stuffs. And one year of enjoying the benefits of blogging. More years to come!

November 2009. November is another month that is very special to our family because this is the month where my Mom celebrates her birthday. I love you Mom!

December 2009. This month was so great. December 2009 was special because my Dad came home to celebrate the holiday season with us. I also received so many gifts! And we also celebrated the birth of Jesus! December 2009 was indeed a great month for us to end the year 2009.
