Everyone of us really loves discounts or savings when we’re buying stuffs. “25% off!” “50% off” or even “75% off!” are our favorite displays in malls or boutiques! We can have our payments of what we bought be discounted from these cool price cuts. But the bad thing is that it is so occasional.  Meaning, it’s not all the time. So we’re really having a hard time guessing when will be the next price cuts of our favorite jeans, or shirt or whatever we want to buy.

Lady GaGa - The Fame Monster

Lady GaGa, one of the brightest stars in the international music scene, has just released here second album, The Fame Monster. After posting Why I use Globe Tattoo Broadband here on my blog, Globe Tattoo has been my partner in blogging by providing me their quality service. Blogging, college stuffs and online gaming are what I am doing while connected to the internet using Globe Tattoo. It’s fast, and the money I paid is indeed worth-it.

Here in the Philippines, there are three giants in broadband internet competing for the no. 1 spot, and one of the three giants is Globe Tattoo. They are all claiming that they have the fastest broadband internet connection speed. But who is the real fastest?

To answer the question, Nesic Philippines wireless broadband speedtest conducted in different areas (not only in Metro Manila). Nesic Philippines is a trusted company that serves different huge telecoms and network systems here in our country. In Nesic Philippines’ speedtests, they used NetPerSec software that checks the connection by monitoring the TCP/IP activity.

And the speedtests revealed that Globe Tattoo is the real fastest broadband in many areas in our country, especially here in Bulacan. Nesic’s results showed that Globe Tattoo is better than its’ rivals when it comes to speed while the other didn’t made it to the top.

But after all, Globe Tattoo or any other broadband internet provider cannot claim that they are the fastest of all  in the whole country because there are a lot of factors need to be considered, the time, place and even the weather (as I heard). But still, Nesic Philippines’ objective is to prove who is the fastest broadband in many locations in our country( and ended up having Globe Tattoo as the fastest). And still, we internet users are the one who will choose what brand to buy, and who to be praised as the real fastest broadband.

I started in blogging last September 2008. I created my blog at a free blog platform, which was widely used in the blogosphere. My experience on it was nice, hassle-free but of course, with limited possibilities. But one day, I was given a web hosting account space, a domain and all setting-up of a self-hosted blog, all for free from a very nice friend. That’s how lucky I was way back then.

Ok, now, my blog is in a self-hosted blog platform. With so much possibilities, I am really satisfied with where my blog sits right now. But as my “free” blogging life goes on, I experienced different circumstances with it. And to be more presentable, I arranged it in a listed format.

First, the advantages:

• It’s free! Does anyone here doesn’t like a free web hosting account? With a very great “specs” attached on it? Tell me if your answer is not, and why.
• Hassle-free. In purchasing a web hosting account, you don’t only pay them once. You’ll pay them regularly. Every month, or every year, you’ll pay them some dollars. Hey, that’s not cool! But in a free web hosting account (actually, not free. I said “free” because you’re not the one paying for it), you’ll just blog, blog and blog.

In the whole blogosphere, I introduced myself as a teen blogger, photographer and graphic designer. Yeah, being a blogger and photographer is fun. And being a graphic designer is fun, too. The first thing that I blog here is about my digital artworks in different styles. Most of them are photo manipulations of my photos. In short, I really love graphic designing.

And, right now, I have a question to myself that I need to answer. What are the advantages of being a blogger and graphic designer at the same time?

1. Create your own graphics. If you’re a graphic designer, I know you can create your own desired blog theme. I know you can design your own blog logo. And I know you don’t have to hire someone and spend money to create your 125×125 blog badge or your own blog mascot. In blogging, you need to be a creative writer, but you need to impress your readers with nice pictures within your blog, too. And these pictures are just a piece of cake if you know how to design graphics very well.

2. Blog revenues plus graphic designing job payments. So, you’re making money online, right? Then, be a graphic designer, too. With blogging, you can earn money by posting paid posts/reviews, adding ads on your blog or even persuading your readers to try a specific product for some money. Yeah, that’s you (and me). In graphic designing, you can earn lots of money, too. How? You can accept graphic design jobs, in direct offers. Many bloggers and webmasters around need the beauty of your designs. And most of them are willing to pay for your efforts (mostly in you desired price). But if no one offers you one, you can hunt them. In different freelancing websites, there are lots of job openings in graphic designing field. And guess what, they are willing to pay you not only dollars, but hundreds and hundreds of dollars (please take note of that).
