Random Shots 004

After two months, I completed another set for my Random Shots Series. Having been very busy for school works, I am lucky to have precious time with my Canon EOS 1000D. So, this time, this photo set contains different subjects taken from different places. From my hometown up to Baguio City, I tried my best to capture the Earth’s best scenes. And here they are!

Three photos were taken at Baguio City when we were there for an educational tour organized by our school, Bulacan State University. The tour was fun (and exiting because that was my first time to go there).

I hope you enjoy the photo set. Want to view more photos from Random Shots Series? Go here: http://kelvinonian.com/tag/random-shots/

You are one talented young photographer, Kelvin. I'm impressed. I love these images! (Smart to put the watermark on them – I suspect others will love them, too!)

These are superb pictures. I've studied in Baguio and I can see that you've captured the essence of the city. And the candle shot, oh so good. Can I borrow it?

Thanks for the greetings.

i like the euphorbia picture (the beauty within disaster photo), the first candle photo and the red flower, which I think is the Adelfa…

i also love the fact that you took photos with both left and right perspectives of the photo. meaning the subject is located either from left or right of the photo… i just dont know what term it is… most photographers kasi would have their subject shot on the right side of the frame… great random photos you have here!

One of the photographers where I trained my photography skill said it is the “Rule of Thirds”, putting the subjects either at the for corners or the four sides. He said it is better most of the time instead of just putting the subject at the center.

Thanks yatot! :)

Heather Kephart | October 23, 2009 at 8:29 am

That is a good tip! I always center my subjects, especially my kids, and I feel awful cropping out any part of their cute little bodies. I need to get over that so I can take interesting shots like you do, Kelvin!

Reply

Kelvin Servigon | October 23, 2009 at 10:24 am

Hehehe, sometimes, because of the “Rule of Thirds” photos became more professional-looking photo. But don't always depend on that, sometimes, it is good to center your subject. Yeah, photography is a bit complicated. LOL

Reply

yatot | October 25, 2009 at 7:31 pm

ay yah.. now i remember! tinuro nga pala sa amin sa physics class ang rule of thirds! this was the time when we were discussing optics and lenses… *nosebleed* hahahha… ako i am trying to apply the rule of thirds sa mga camera shots ko… pero wala pa akong sariling camera! hahaha
