13 Comments | Posted by Kelvin Servigon in Events, Photography
You read it right. Bulacan united its three main beauty titles, Mutya ng Bulacan, Lakambini ng Bulacan and Bb. Bulacan, into one glamorous coronation night, the La Bulaquena. Over thirty candidates competed for three main titles and shouted their beauty in front of hundreds of people. The coronation night was full of unity from every municipality and every city of Bulacan. Many were shouting their bets, many were giving their big hand to the most wonderful young lady and many were really eager to see the beauty of every candidates.
Me, together with my cousins, watched the pageant night. And luckily, I was placed in front of stage together with other photographers. So, I got lots of photos. (more…)

Tips on How to Achieve Better Images with Your Favorite Camera
21 Comments | Posted by Kelvin Servigon in Photography
I am a photographer and I know how to shoot nice pictures. It has been almost half a year when I started doing some photography things. And within that time, I improved well my skills in photography. But, yeah, I have so many things that I need to learn. But now, let me share to you what I’ve learn in photography.
Now, here’s my top tips on how to achieve better images using your favorite camera.
- Learn how to use your camera. This is the first thing that you should know. Read the manual inside the box where your camera placed when you bought it. Try to ask some photographers on how to use it. Besides, this is the key of photography. The heart of this wonderful hobby.
- Choose appropriate background for your subject. Selecting your subject is never easy. I mean, it’s not as easy as point-and-shoot scheme because you need to study how your subject looks on the camera. But you should remember, you also need to choose appropriate background for your subject. You must choose a background which its color is not blending on the color of your subject, especially when your subject is a person. For example, your subject’s clothes are all colored red, and the background is red, too. Result? Floating chop-chopped human body parts. Yeah.
- Be creative. Find the best angle. You’re a photographer now, and you need to study the looks of your subject. If you’re subject is a person, you should know the best angel of your camera where he/she looks more appealing and sexy. Try to read my top 10 tips on how to be photogenic. And if your subject is an object, or any except humans or animals, try this.

Top 5 Tumblr Layouts From Tumblr Theme Directory
13 Comments | Posted by Kelvin Servigon in Blogging Resources, Thoughts
Last July, I posted here some juicy links where you can find cool Tumblr layouts. But many suggested that it would be better if I post specific layouts here in my blog. Yeah, that’s a cool idea. Tumblr is a great platform for your on-the-go blogs, and of course, it needs great layout, too.
The web is a huge world. And it is so hard to find tiny pieces of precious Tumblr layouts. But, Tumblr itself made the search for you.
In your Tumblr dashboard, hit the Customize link, and you’ll be redirected to their customization panel where you can tweak and edit your tumblr blog’s settings and the layout or theme.
In the bar at the top of the customization panel of Tumblr, you have to click the Theme link to show the Tumblr layouts directory. This Tumblr layouts directory offers free cool layouts for free ( and some of them are made by Tumblr enthusiasts, too). And what I did was I picked five cool Tumblr layouts to help you decide what you want to choose for your Tumblr blog.

Kelvinonian.com Had Experienced Unexpected Shut Down
18 Comments | Posted by Kelvin Servigon in Thoughts
This month of September, I am supposedly celebrating my blog’s first year anniversary. I am supposedly starting my first ever blog contest. And I am supposedly checking all my online accounts related in my blog’s hit stats, comments and earnings ( if I was lucky that day). But all of these were stopped by unexpected devastation.
Fendi, my closest friend here in blogosphere, is the one who helps me in placing my blog online by sharing his space in a webhosting account. And Bluehost is our webhost. Then, when I was about to check my blog’s admin page, something popped out. “This Account Has Been Suspended” message showed in every page of my blog. This message was shocking, annoying and frustrating. Yeah, my whole day was not good because of my blog’s unexpected messed up.
After almost 2 days, our blogs were up, again. I’m lucky that Fendi immediately fixed the problem in his webhosting account. And after that great problem, it left a huge mess. My blog was deindexed in google pages, my hit stats goes down to zero, and my Feedburner reader count goes down from 60+ to 17.
