Desktop Customization

It was been six years when I first touched a PC. The only thing I know about computer that time was Friendster. And when I was a third year high school student, my parents bought our first secondhand PC. Having our first PC was one of my most unforgettable moments in my life (LOL).
When we got our Pentium III PC, we have no internet connection. Yeah, that time, I was just an ordinary PC user who worries a lot about virus and don’t even know how to install a software. But now, after years of clicking the mouse, pressing the keys of the keyboard, and saying “TAE” when the PC shuts down unexpectedly, I can say (with a big smile) that I have good knowledge on how to tweak and repair a PC (but not the hardware).
With my new PC (at last, I got an Intel Core 2 Duo here) customizing its desktop is one of my hobbies. I used to change my desktop wallpaper monthly. I also made some Kelvinonian Ideas wallpapers for it. And nature wallpaper is one of my favorites because it gives me a relaxing feeling everytime I see it on my PC.

I searched the web for cool wallpapers and I found some at torrent sites. DeviantArt is a cool source of wallpapers too. And as of now, I have 88 (and counting) high-resolution wallpapers! LOL
ObjectDock
ObjectDock is one of the coolest application available on the web! I used it almost months ago. You can see ObjectDock in action above and in all my desktop screenshots posted here. Cool right?
My PC’s OS is Windows Vista Ultimate which features the very nice Sidebar. This one is very useful for me because I can easily access the calculator and calendar with it. Widnows Vista has pre-loaded gadgets which you can use. But you should not stick only on that. You can download more gadgets at Windows Sidebar Gadget gallery or by searching it on web.
And my latest desktop customization is changing the wallpaper (again) in to my portrait by Marvin Maning. I edited it using Adobe Photoshop CS4. I really love this one!

Customizing your desktop is a lot of fun. Choosing the right wallpaper, the right color scheme and the right theme will eat your time because you’ll surely enjoy it.

nice one, galing ng desktop mo, ako matagal ko ng di ginagalaw ang desktop ko, pero malinis sya, walang mga kalat, simply one gadget and rocketdock, my os is Vista but i uses Vista OS X ‘ 09 theme, you might want to give a try, lupet sya mac ang dating ng pc mo

ou maganda nga objectdock, meron ako rocketdock pero ndi ko ginagamit kc satisfied n ako sa objectdock..

nice, your desktop is clean. i also have that fish wallpaper. i’m also a fan of object desktop since Wincustomize first develop it. but i’m not using it when I switched to Windows 7 RC.
