Archive for June 2009
Last June 24, 2009, Wednesday, the whole Servigon Family had a gathering to celebrate the birthday of my grandfather, Simplicio Servigon, who died last December 2008. We had a potluck lunch at my uncle’s house. Then, we went to Forest Park, where our beloved grandfather’s memories buried.
Here are some photos I took while we were with our grandfather, Simplicio Servigon:

A picture with my little cousin's very sweet letter to our grandfather saying "Happy birthday Tatay. Sana masaya po kayo d'yan kahit hindi n'yo ako makakasama. Tatay, alam n'yo po ba sa gabi palagi na lang po ako umiiyak. Mahal na mahal ko po kayo. Nakakalungkot naman pero hindi ako susuko. I love you Tatay. - Marielle".

Desktop Customization

It was been six years when I first touched a PC. The only thing I know about computer that time was Friendster. And when I was a third year high school student, my parents bought our first secondhand PC. Having our first PC was one of my most unforgettable moments in my life (LOL).
When we got our Pentium III PC, we have no internet connection. Yeah, that time, I was just an ordinary PC user who worries a lot about virus and don’t even know how to install a software. But now, after years of clicking the mouse, pressing the keys of the keyboard, and saying “TAE” when the PC shuts down unexpectedly, I can say (with a big smile) that I have good knowledge on how to tweak and repair a PC (but not the hardware).
With my new PC (at last, I got an Intel Core 2 Duo here) customizing its desktop is one of my hobbies. I used to change my desktop wallpaper monthly. I also made some Kelvinonian Ideas wallpapers for it. And nature wallpaper is one of my favorites because it gives me a relaxing feeling everytime I see it on my PC.
I searched the web for cool wallpapers and I found some at torrent sites. DeviantArt is a cool source of wallpapers too. And as of now, I have 88 (and counting) high-resolution wallpapers! LOL

With over millions of teenagers living across the world, some of them are Filipinos. Filipinos are said to be as a person like no other. Yes, we are unique. And Filipino teens are indeed unique from other teens around the world. And the advent of making noises of Filipino teens across the world is here.

Makati is the business district of the Philippines. Here lies some of the most powerful personalities in Philippine limelight. Towers of different huge companies, high-rise buildings of different world class hotels, lavish strip of restaurants and malls, these are the establishments that made Makati famous.
In the middle of the city of luxury, there lies the Jupiter Suites Hotel, formerly known as Jupiter Arms Hotel. A budget hotel in Makati City, which offers quality service and value accommodation. It is one of the few hotels in Makati City that offers free Internet access in the rooms as part of the standard service.
This budget hotel offers long list of facilities and services. They have function room for your birthday or wedding parties. They also offer Butler service, Room service, Currency exchange, Message service, Safe deposit box, wake-up call, laundry service and many more.
Last summer, of course, we had no classes. We were free to go somewhere, anywhere (as long as you can, and your parents permitted you). But one day, boredom struck, and I was lazy to go somewhere, of course, my savior (1000D) was there again. And I “played” with my Canon EOS 1000D.
At first, I just took pictures of some experiments. I removed all things on top of our living room’s center table. And I put orange and yellow stones there (from my mom’s candle decor). The photos taken were nice.
Then, I went to my room to review the photos. And I wasn’t satisfied with the photos. So, I decided to have another experiment. I set up my tripod, placed it in front of the mirror, set the 2 seconds-timer shutter and made some poses. LOL
