The Wedding: Jason & Arlene

I want to be a great photographer someday. So I joined the Family Affair Event Specialist’s photographers’ group to enhance my skills. I was actually a coordinator for events of this company, but I chose to be a photographer because it is better for me.

My first major project in this company was the wedding of Jason & Arlene (I don’t know their family names ;P ). I was assigned as a Back-up Photographer because I’m still a newbie. But Jesus really loves me because He let me be with famous photographer, Mr. Bobby Gonzales. He’s famous because… because they said it. Anyways, He looked an excellent photographer with his huge lens attached at his DSLR and his great shots–love it.

So, here are the photos I took with my Canon EOS 1000D:

Camille Turning 18: Pictorial

My cousin, Camille Polintan appeared here in my blog many times. She’s one of my models during my pictorial for “eXperiment 1.0“. She’s one of my closest cousins. And now, as she turns eighteen years old, I gave her my hand to be her official photographer! Even I’m a newbie photographer, they accepted me. And now, I love them more because of that, he-he-he.

Last April 3, 2009, we had a photo session at our house. I love “Mica” (as we call her and her nickname) because she’s so professional! She’s a very good model. I like how she poses at my lens, how she acts naturally and smiles lovely. So, let’s roll the photos, and see how Camille or Mica shows here real beauty as a new eighteen-year-old lady.

My Grandma’s Request

Me with my "Nanay"

My grandma or “Nanay” as I call her, asked me if I can put her new poem in my blog. She asked this because when her last visit here, I told her about blogging. I told her that blogging is one of the most wonderful thing in this world (right?), that this can be a source of income, and a source of good friends. When she heard this thing from me, she asked if she can make one. I said yes but she’s too old and she can’t use a computer–you know, there’s no computer when she’s a teen. I just told her that I would write a post dedicated to her here in my blog. And now, she gave me sheets of paper containing handwritten Filipino poem. This poem uses Filipino language so, English speakers, try to use Google Translate to translate this great poem.

Let’s begin…

“Pangarap Kong Pinangarap”

by: Procesa Añoza byuda de Servigon

Sa kalaliman ng gabi, ako’y di maidlip
Bumangon ako, at sumandaling nag-isp
Ala-ala ng lumipas, muling nagbabalik
Nang ako ay bata pa at isa pang paslit.

Yesterday, April 1, 2009, was April Fools’ Day. That’s right, a day dedicated for crazy guys, pranking and pranking everyone they see. But for our family, the Fools’ day is a celebration day for my cousins, Reniel Servigon & Yvan Servigon. Reniel graduated from High School whle Yvan graduated from Elementary School.

Here from Calumpit, Bulacan, we traveled all the way to Quezon City to make merry with the whole family. At 3:00, the graduation of these two lads began. After the graduation, we went to our family’s “all time favorite” and “the cheapest of all”, the Marikina Riverbanks.

Wow, that was the first word I said when I saw the river of Markina. It was decorated with huge colorful turtles and swans. They were so amazing. But, of course, before being amazed, we ate deliicious foods of Marikina that you must try! Again, my stomach was so full that night. But that’s OK.

And the most exciting part of that day was, PHOTO OPS!
