My New Baby: DigEos (Canon EOS 1000D)

Before the Mr. PICE pageant, my Mom and Dad promised me that they would give me something that I want IF I would win. And because I was lucky that night, I won the pageant, plus a new “something”. They asked me what I want. I thought of something, of course, that would give me new experience, and that was a D-SLR.
I searched the world wide web for a very good D-SLR for beginners. Then, I found the Nikon D40. Some of my friends at Flickr told me that this D-SLR was good and fit for a beginner. After gaining this information, I told my Mom that this camera was what I wanted. And they agreed to me. So, last Sunday, March 1, me, my Mom, my younger sister and other relatives had a trip to SM City Pampanga, to shop, relax and enjoy the weekend. Me and my mom went to SM Appliance Center to ask if there’s an available Nikon D40 dslr. But, the saleslady said that they don’t have. She just brought us at the stand where Canon cameras displayed. Then we saw Canon EOS 1000D D-SLR camera. It cost Php 32, +++.00. I said to my mom that it’s too pricey, but she just said that, “Ok ba sa ‘yo ‘yan?” (“Is that ok to you?”). Of course, I said yes! Because it’s way better than Nikon D40 (Am I right?). Then, she said that she would buy that thing! I was shocked that my mom chosen that pricey cam instead of going somewhere to search for Nikon D40 which is cheaper that Canon 1000D.
My mom bought that Canon camera for me. I almost jumped there because of happiness I felt when the saleslady gave me the 1000D D-SLR. I named my new camera as DigEos, from its real name, Canon EOS 1000D Digital Camera. To test DigEos, I shot some photos. BTW, I don’t know how to use a D-SLR!!! Ha-ha-ha!!!
After some reading of the manual of this camera, I learned few techniques on how to use Mr. DigEos nicely.
I hope, I become a good photographer someday…

Ha, I’ve purchased that same camera some time ago. (3 months?)
It’s a nice camera. also known as Canon Rebel XS.
Amazing thing, for that amount of money, that is.
The standard lens is okay, but I’m still looking for a lens that will let me zoom in a little bit more…

I remember when it was my birthday and I was gonna settle down for a ZLSR. Then suddenly a friend of my mom said “Buy the latest! Canon 400D.” and so she did. That was 3 years ago when 400D was fresh on the market. it was around 48,500. (gawd it really shocked me)But it was one of their best investments on me.
